Stores in the capital have announced sale, offering discounts of up to 50 percent on winter apparels and shoes as they prepare to bring in new products for summer.
Different branded and non-branded stores in the valley like Monte Carlo, United Colors of Benetton, Giordano, Zara, John Players, Springwood, J B Tailors, Upakar Trading and Shreedhara Collection, among others, have announced special discounts mostly on winter wears.
Giordano at Sherpa Mall in Durbar Marg and City Center is offering 20 to 50 percent discount on all winter wears. “We announce sale twice a year to clear our stocks before we introduce new arrivals,” Ram Pyakurel, proprietor of Giordano, said. “These offers not only boost our sales but also help build relation with our customers.”
Sherpa Mall in Durbar Marg is seeing rise in footfall in recent days as around 30 stores there have announced sale.
Similarly, different stores at City Center, Kamalpokhari are offering discounts of up to 50 percent. Abhinandan, which deals on men and women wears, has announced up to 50 percent discount. “We have been getting good response from customers even since the sale was launched,” said Sidhhartha Hirawat, proprietor of Abhinandan.
Stores at Civil Mall, Sundhara are also offering attractive discounts. Central Retail, the authorized distributor of Zara products, is offering up to 50 percent discount on winter wears, according to Sonam Ghale, managing director of Central Retail.
Likewise, Monte Carlo at Civil Mall is offering up to 50 percent discount. It has also announced ´buy one, get one free´ scheme. “This offer has helped boost our sales,” said Nishi Sharma, showroom manager of Monte Carlo, Civil Mall.
Monte Carlo is offering discount on winter wears like jacket, sweater, jumper, caps, and mufflers among others along with jeans and T-shirts.
United Colors of Benetton at Durbar Marg is offering up to 50 percent discount on T-shirt, pants, jacket, sweater and wallets, among others for a limited period. Similarly, Surya Nepal has announced to 50 percent discount on selected winter wears of John Players and Springwood.
Shreedhara Collection at People´s Plaza is offering all types of shoes for men at just Rs 1,000. “We have announced ´stock clearance sale´ and the customers are getting shoes at prices cheaper than the wholesale rate,” Kumar Thapa, manager of the store, said. “We have announced sale on men shoes as we are preparing to introduce sandals and shoes for women.”
J B Tailors is offering 20 percent discount on winter apparels at its showroom in Patan and Subhidhanagar. Likewise, Upakar Trading at Kathmandu Mall has announced special sale offer on sari, kurtha salwars and tops.
